Heat pumps offer an environmentally friendly heating and cooling alternative - nearly all year long.
When used as an air conditioner, an air source heat pump cools your home by transferring heat from indoor air outside. An air source heat pump can also be controlled during periods of high demand on the Cycled Central Air Conditioning Program.
In the heating mode, an air source heat pump can efficiently meet your home’s heating needs down to an air temperature near zero degrees and supply 50 - 70% of all your heating needs! Your automatic backup heating source will kick in when temperatures drop below zero.
Studies have shown that more than 75% of central air conditioners and heat pumps are operating below their rated performance. This causes wasted energy, decreases comfort and shortens the life of air conditioning equipment. These problems can be addressed when units are properly installed and maintained.
That is why we offer the Quality Installation rebate. To qualify for the Quality Installation rebate, the central air conditioner or heat pump must be installed by a registered HVAC contractor. See list of registered contractors.
