Cycled Air Conditioning is simple
This energy conservation program costs you nothing to participate and helps Runestone Electric keep your energy bills low. Runestone Electric will install and activate a small radio receiver near your air conditioner that cycles the central air on and off at 15-minute intervals during the peak energy demand days.
Because your furnace fan continues to circulate cool air, most people don’t notice that the air conditioner is being cycled.
A radio receiver will be installed near the condensing unit of your air conditioner. A licensed electrical installer will do the installation at no cost to you. The installation takes a few minutes and you don’t even have to be home.

With Cycled Air Conditioning, your air conditioner or heat pump takes an occasional time out, while still keeping your house at a comfortable temperature. Central air conditioners can be controlled six hours daily up to 200 hours during the cooling season. Control periods can be extended under extreme conditions. Participation in the program will automatically carry forward every year. Window or wall air conditioners or split duct systems are not eligible.
