Around the first of the year, district meetings are scheduled in the districts where elections for director will be held. These meetings are the designated time and place for nominations for each district's representative on the Board of Directors, as well as a forum for member comments and concerns. Directors are elected in each district every three years. Terms are staggered, so two directors are elected one year, two the next and three the following year.
You will find a map of the co-op's districts and details on the Board of Directors page.
Election of directors takes place at the Annual Meeting, held early in the spring. Before the annual meeting, all members receive a copy of the co-op's financial report and mail ballots for any voting activity taking place that year. In addition to voting for their directors, members must also approve any By-law revisions which may be proposed from time to time. The annual meeting is the official day set aside each year for members to tend to the business of their co-op.
